In einer Verbindung aus Performance, Fashion, Kunst und experimenteller
Musik schreibt Steloolive die ghanaische Geschichte neu. „Ich genieße
es, Leben und Zeit durch Klang als Teil meiner Praxis zu archivieren.
Performance ist für mich ein Werkzeug, mich zu engagieren.“ Das Duo
PUNGWE von Memory Biwa und Robert Machiri aus Namibia und
Zimbabwe / Südafrika sind nicht nur mit einer Archivarbeit in Donaueschingen
präsent, sondern auch mit einem elektronischen Live-Set.
Ihre Klangkunst ist eine Einladung, kollektiv zu hören, zu fühlen und
ein neues, dekoloniales Wissen über den Raum und die Zeit zu erschaffen,
in der wir leben.
Combining performance, fashion, art and experimental music, Steloolive
rewrites Ghanaian history. "I enjoy archiving life and time through sound
as part of my practice. Performance is a tool for me to engage." The
duo PUNGWE of Memory Biwa and Robert Machiri from Namibia and
Zimbabwe / South Africa are not only present in Donaueschingen with
an archival work, but also with a live electronic set. Their sound art
is an invitation to collectively hear, feel and create a new, decolonial
knowledge of the space and time in which we live.
